Moving from fall into winter, our Canadian grown Cyclamens are in full bloom and the Hellebores are beginning to open

Hellebores are an evergreen winter-hardy perennial that bloom throughout the winter months. They grow best in partial sunlight and are great for containers and garden beds. Cyclamens can be grown indoors and outdoors, and are hardy to -5 degrees Celsius. These tender perennials bloom in the colder fall months and prefer bright indirect or filtered sunlight. 🍁

Sarracenia (Pitcher plant)

An entire ecosystem in one plant, Sarracenia are carnivorous perennials native to Canada and North America. Best known for natural pest control, pitcher plant’s attract insects (*mosquitos, fruit flies, fungus gnats*) with sweet nectar and their bright colours. Pitcher plants grow in boggy wetlands, so they are ideal for bog or water gardens where they are always sitting in water. These colourful plants will grow best in a mix of sand and peat moss with lots of sunlight. Pitcher plants don’t require any fertilizer since they derive nutrients from their insect diet.
